May I visit the college?


Yes, we welcome personal visits by appointment only as office hours vary. Call 416.481.2265 or e-mail info@travelcollege.ca to book a day and time to visit. A career counsellor will be pleased to provide a campus tour and explain career opportunities, program content, fees, payment plans etc. in more detail

What are the admission requirements for Canadian students?


Requirements are the same for both Canadian and International Students:
1. Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent; or

2. Mature Student (18 years of age and over) and successful completion of an Assessment/Admissions Test (Note: This is only given if the student did not successfully complete secondary school or higher)

What are the requirements for International Students?

Requirements are the same for both International and Canadian Students:
1. Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent or

2. Mature Student (18 years of age and over) and successful completion of an Assessment/Admissions Test (Again, this is only given if the student did not successfully complete secondary school or higher)  

 

In addition, the International Student may require a visa or study permit:  

  1. Visit www.cic.gc.ca for current general information on Studying in Canada. Contact your closest local or regional Canadian Embassy, Consulate or High Commission Office for information on whether a Study Permit or visa is required

    Generally programs of six months or less do not require a Study Permit (Student Authorization to Study in Canada) although a visa to visit Canada may be required

    Note: Our full time Fast Track Option diploma programs are under six months. Regular full time diploma programs are six months or longer

  2. For information on Home Stay (accommodation) assistance; airport pick up etc. please visit "International Students"

  3. A Letter of Acceptance is issued once the student has been accepted into the program and the required payment in accordance with the Enrolment Contract (Registration Form) is received by the college. A Letter of Acceptance is generally required when applying to study in Canada.

What methods of payment are accepted?


Bank transfer is the best and most efficient method as it expedites registration and provides the student with an instant receipt. Contact the college for bank transfer instructions. We also accept a Bank Draft, Visa and MasterCard


As class size is limited in order to allow for personal attention. Early registration for all programs is highly recommended

Does the school organize special activities e.g. Field Trips, Guest Speakers etc.?

 

Yes! We believe it important our students have opportunity to meet and network with industry professionals and potential employers to learn more about their company, products & services.

Is career counselling and job search assistance available?


Yes! a very comprehensive Career Planning Workshop is included in all diploma programs. Career counselling is an on going free service to our students and graduates for life.

What is your withdrawal/refund policy?

 

Registered students are required to provide notice in writing to the school of intention to withdraw from the program. Refund policy is explained on the Enrolment Contract (Registration Form).

How has the Internet affected the tourism industry?

 

Recent studies show consumers use the Internet to research destinations, hotels, cruise ships etc. however approx. 76% use the personal services of a trained professional travel agent/consultant) to book the best product at the best price.

 

Well trained professional travel agents have the knowledge, skills, tools and resources to research and recommend the best product and value for their clients, and to explain the importance of proper travel insurance to ensure peace of mind when travelling.
