About the Program
Upon completion of this program, the student will learn and understand reasons for growth and popularity in group travel; the components, complexities and responsibilities of a Group Travel Specialist. This program also focuses on important aspects of the job responsibilities, such as:
- How to research and connect with potential groups
- Organizing and developing tour components
- Establishing rapport with tour participants
- Selecting wholesalers/tour operators
- Pricing strategies
OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) or out of province/country equivalent. An applicant who has not graduated high school may apply as a Mature Student (18 yrs. and over). As this is a non-vocational program, there is no minimum prerequisite other than a strong interest in learning about and developing skills on this topic.
This certificate program is generally offered through online training and distance education (home studies), in which case the student is provided with course materials including theory notes and the assignment.
Grading and Examination
When student has completed the program and advised the college, a test is provided. An overall grading will be assessed once the assignment and test is marked (within fourteen days from receipt at the college). Passing grade is 70%.
Upon successful completion of the program with a passing grade of 70% or higher, a certificate is issued within thirty days.

How to Register
Email: email@example.com and request the Enrolment Contract and secure banking instructions to arrange for a bank transfer for payment of fee, which is due in full at time of program enrollment. The student is responsible for payment of all related banking fees. For this reason, we recommend students to transfer deposit payments at any TD Canada Trust branch in Canada as per attached banking instructions.
From the date the college receives the completed and signed Enrolment Contract, a copy of the pre-requisite and full payment, please allow approx. thirty days for processing registration and ordering of program materials. Program materials will be sent by X-Press Post, please allow up to 10 days for delivery. The student should be prepared to start immediately after receiving program materials.
Program Start Date
When contacting the college, the student should have a plan as to when to start the program, allowing approximately thirty days from the time of the contact for processing the registration.
