The Growth of Home Based Agents

Home based travel agents (often referred to as independent travel professionals) is a fast growing career choice. There are approximately 3,000 across Canada, and this number continues to grow as individuals recognize the benefits of self employment such as: "being your own boss"; "choosing your own hours"; and "area of specialty e.g. cruises, adventure, luxury, weddings, honeymoons, spas/wellness etc"; and best of all "level of income" and freedom to enjoy great "travel benefits".

It is very important that home based travel agents/ independent travel professionals demonstrate to clients that they have the necessary training, skills, knowledge and ability to successfully manage their travel arrangements. Professionalism and a great attitude help establish rapport, trust and confidence.
