About this Online Program
As an online program, the student can live anywhere in Canada or around the world.
Upon completion of this program, the student will learn and understand the reasons for growth and popularity in group travel; the components, complexities, and responsibilities of a Group Travel Specialist.
This program focuses on important aspects of the job responsibilities, such as:
- How to research, market and connect with potential groups
- Organizing, selecting, and coordinating tour components
- Connecting with tour operators, and travel agencies
- Pricing strategies
Program Delivery – Online
This is an online (home study) program where the student works independently from home. The student may email questions or for clarification.
Program Hours
On average, allow approx. 80 hours to complete studies, research, assignment, and test. It is recommended the student dedicate 8 or more hours per week to finish within 10 weeks (3 months). If more time is needed, the student may request a program extension.
Program Fee
C$375.00 (tax deductible). Courseware includes theory notes, assignment, test, and certificate upon successful completion.
Admission Requirements
This is a short non-vocational certificate program perfect for those in the travel industry, or who have previous experience and now wish to develop the skills and knowledge to specialize in working as a Group Travel Specialist.
How to Register
Step 1. Email: program-inquiry@travelcollege.ca and request the Group Travel Specialist Enrolment Contract with tuition payment instructions.
Step 2. When payment has been made, advise the college by email (as a string to the program-inquiry email for ease of communication), and include your completed and signed Enrolment Contract, and supporting Admission documents as attachments
Step 3. Once the college has received your email with attachments, a Welcome Letter with Program Introduction, Instructions, and courseware (theory notes, and assignment) will be emailed in pdf format. Please allow up to thirty days for processing and receipt of program materials.
Starting the Program
Welcome & Program Information & Instruction Letter is sent with courseware.
Grading
The pass grade is 70% or higher, based on average grading from the Assignment and Test.
Certificate
Upon successful completion of the program, a certificate is provided.
